Kenya Law, through the CEO/Editor, Mr. Long’et Terer officially handed over sets of Kenya Law publications to the County Government on 19^th February 2020 at the County’s Secretariat. The Deputy Governor Hon. Daniel K. Chemno received the legal resources on behalf of the Governor for Uasin Gishu Hon. Jackson K.  Mandago.

The legal resources were purchased through the County’s Integrated Development Plan (CIDP) derived from the governor’s manifesto of having a resource center which is accessible to the County Government officials and the public.

Kenya Law CEO/Editor Mr. Long’et Terer said County Governments form a very important part of the legal structure in the Country. He appreciated the County Government of Uasin Gishu effort in submitting their County Legislation to Kenya Law for uploading on the website.

“Uasin Gishu County is one of the public institutions that rely on Kenya Law for their legal resources. We are happy to hand over the publications to assist your legal officers .” He said.

Deputy Governor Hon. Daniel K. Chemno said that the County’s Legal team which consists of four advocates is now well empowered to carry out their practice.

The County Attorney, Mr. S.K Lel noted that his team had a big challenge in accessing legal information previously and was relieved that their struggle had come to an end. The County Executive Member- Devolution, Administration and Public Service Management Eng. Birir   who was also in attendance, said that it was a big achievement to finally have a County Library established, which would enhance capacity building for the people of Uasin Gishu County.
